Methods: Pregnant women at term presenting in the labor and delivery unit of the University of Heidelberg, Germany. After obtaining informed consent women were followed online by EMG and cardiotocography until delivery. All data were fed into a program designed by the authors. EMG and Toco signals were compared. Influence of medical interventions were analyzed. Results: Concordance was high between EMG and Toco. Influence of medical interventions on single EMG parameters were difficult was variable. Conclusion: Labor can be sufficiently evaluated using EMG in a clinical setting. Further research needs to focus on analyzing the obtained EMG signals. Contact: |
