Telerehabilitation of lower limb amputees and post stroke patents

MKS
accomplished a project for the Slovenian Ministry of
Health “Framework for Electronic Exchange of Digital documentation
between a hospital and a microbiological lab – Safety requirements”.
2008
MKS was
invited by the Ministry of work, family and
social affairs to be a partner in a cross-border project with Italy “Social
integration - Improvements in quality of life through coordinated
development of health and social care systems”.
2007-08
MKS
contributed three solutions to the national smart home project “IRIS
Smart home”. IRSR, Ljubljana: Tunstall’s telecare package system, “My
healthcare reminder” service, “Data on home services at the user's TV
screen”

Dr. Drago Rudel coordinated 3 days event: ”Festival for
the third life period – Park of Technologies ” in CD, Ljubljana.

MKS participated in preparation of a strategy
for a national smart home project “IRIS Smart home”.

Rudel organized a (high level) round table “New technologies for the
aging Slovenia” on the ”Festival for the third life period” in CD,

partner in a telemedicine project “Application of telemedicine in the
elderly and people with dementia” run by Mental hospital of Ljubljana,
financed by Ministry of ARRS L3-9525-2451.
STRATEGIES, LAWS
2009
“Supportive services for elderly people” MKS participated as a partner in project proposal.
2009
“Low on healthcare delivery- ZZDej-1”
MKS proposed that telecare and telehealth are mentioned as new
healthcare disciplines. This would enable that telecare and telehealth
services become an integral part of healthcare services that are
covered by compulsory insurance thus become accessible to almost the
whole population of Slovenia.
2008
“Law on long term care” MKS
invited by Ministry of work, family and social affairs to give comments
and proposals in the pre-open discussion phase. MKS proposed that
telecare is fully included.
2008
“Resolution on theNational
health care strategy” MKS submitted comments and proposals to
Ministry of health. MKS proposed that home telemedicine and home
telecare are fully implemented in the near future in Slovenia.
2007
“Changes and amendments to the Law on
social care”. MKS invited by Ministry of work, family and
social affairs to give comments in the open discussion phase. MKS
proposed that telecare is fully included.
2007
“National strategy on care for elderly
2010”. MKS proposed that telecare is an integral part of the
strategy supporting cared and carers.

MKS participated in preparation of a strategy
for a national smart home project “IRIS Smart home”.

Dr. Drago Rudel participated in preparation of
the “National strategy on eInclusion” prepared by
Ministry of Education, Science and Technology MVZT.
2005
“eHealth 2010 strategy” MKS
submitted comments and proposals to Ministry of health. MKS proposed
that additional models of providing care are introduced to Slovenia
like home telemedicine and home telecare.
2004
Critical analysis of a draft for the “Law
on long term care”. Comments submitted to the Ministry of
work, family and social affairs in the pre-open discussion phase of the
first version of the law.
1998
“National strategy on care for elderly
2005”. Dr. Drago Rudel invited by Ministry of work, family
and social affairs to write a chapter on “non-institutional care”. The
proposed contents were fully included in the document
STANDARDS
2007
The
National Institute on Standardization of Slovenia (SIST) in partnership
with MKS organized a workshop on “Services of new Smart houses for
elderly and disabled” within a CEN/CENELEC feasibility study run by
NEN.
2005
Dr. Drago
Rudel translated to Slovenian “EN 50134-7:1997 Alarm systems - Social
alarm systems. Part 7: Application guidelines« that became the
Slovenian national standard SIST 50134-7:1997.
2004
MKS in
partnership with the National Institute on Standardization of Slovenia
(SIST) organized a workshop on “Standards for telecare services for
elderly and disabled”. 25 institutions participated.

Rudel chairs a TC EAL WG1 working group on social alarm standards
within The National Institute on Standardization of Slovenia (SIST).
